Hello,
a bit about me:
My journey in the performing arts began with my training with the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and LAMDA, although my connection to musical theatre started much earlier. I grew up surrounded by the world of theatre, and it has remained a central part of my life ever since.

After many years performing on stage myself, I moved into directing and choreographing for semi-professional and amateur societies across Essex. Over the past 35 years, I’ve had the privilege of working on a wide range of productions and helping performers of all ages, bring stories to life on stage.

Alongside my work as a joint director and choreographer, I also work as a stand-alone choreographer. I pride myself on being able to bring together high-quality musical productions within tight rehearsal schedules, whether that’s an intensive four-week rehearsal period or a longer six-month production process. I also run workshops in schools and colleges, sharing my experience in directing drama and staging successful school productions.

My experience working on West End productions such as Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, and Les Misérables has shaped the way I approach directing and teaching. I’m passionate about bringing professional standards to performing arts schools and college productions, and about inspiring young people to discover the magic of live theatre and musicals.

Alongside directing, I am also a dedicated teacher. I offer personalised one-to-one lessons in speech, acting technique, audition preparation, public speaking and business presentations. My coaching is tailored to each individual, helping students develop confidence, refine their performance skills and strengthen everything from character work to vocal technique.

Throughout my career I have been involved in over 70 productions with amateur societies, many of which have received awards. My work has included classic musicals such as South Pacific, Guys and Dolls , Sweeney Todd and Anything Goes, as well as more contemporary productions like Legally Blonde, Les Misérables and Chess.

I also love working on pantomime, where I’ve enjoyed performing slapstick comedy and audience interaction both as a Principal Boy and as a Director.

When I’m not in rehearsals, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my sons and our dog.
