Musical Theatre Director & Choreographer
Choosing the right director is key to bringing out the very best in any production, and I offer a combination of professional experience, creative insight, and a genuine passion for working with people at all levels.

With over 30 years of directing musicals, I bring both confidence and flexibility to the rehearsal process. My background working on major productions such as The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, Oliver! and Grease has given me a strong understanding of high production standards, storytelling clarity, and attention to detail—qualities I adapt thoughtfully to suit each individual company and venue.
Why Consider Me to Direct your Musical?
My long-standing work with amateur societies across Essex has taught me how to get the very best out of every performer. I pride myself on creating a friendly, supportive, and inclusive rehearsal environment where cast members feel comfortable, motivated, and confident to grow. Whether working with experienced performers or those stepping onto the stage for the first time, I aim to make the process enjoyable, collaborative, and rewarding for everyone involved.

I am highly organised, approachable, and committed to clear communication throughout the production process. From initial concept through to performance, I work closely with creative teams and cast alike to ensure a shared vision and a smooth, positive experience.

Above all, I care deeply about telling the story well, respecting the material, and helping each company create a production they can be proud of—one that resonates with both performers and audiences alike.
My Story
Early in my career, I had the privilege of working on several West End and National tour musicals produced by Cameron Mackintosh, including 'The Phantom of the Opera', 'Cats', 'Miss Saigon', 'Martin Guerre', 'Oliver! 'and with Robert Stigwood Productions on the national tour of 'Grease'.
Being involved in these iconic shows was both inspiring and formative, offering me the opportunity to learn from outstanding creative teams and to experience first-hand the care and detail that goes into producing theatre of the highest standard.

Alongside my professional work, I have spent over three decades directing musicals with amateur societies across Essex. This has been an incredibly rewarding part of my career. I value the sense of community, the enthusiasm, and the opportunity to support performers at all levels, helping them grow in confidence and enjoy the magic of being on stage.
